They Say Love Is Blind....They Say Love Is Blind, But It Is We Who Blind OurselvesThey Say Love Is Blind....
So blinded are we, by what we wish to see,
Our minds make up lies to protect us,
We shut out the bad, see only the good,
We follow their lead without a fuss.
They sit there, looking so appealing,
Looking like heaven on earth,
Lust is such an over powering feeling,

Then we are cradled and embraced in warmth,
Soft noises are made and we are loved, some of us.

Fighting news of war away,
Painting pictures of the sky,
Blue and clear, not a cloud nearby.
In her room she writes on walls,
Nothing but sweet lullabies,
And in the quiet as darkness falls,
She dreams of heaven as mothers cry.
In her world, and hers alone,
There's nothing but a light and happy tone,
Looking at the moon, she blows a kiss,
While soldiers run through
